All Things Tea
Welcome to "TasTea Recipes". Here you find a collection of some of our favorite tea recipes.
Cooking with tea may seem a bit novel, but tea leaves are edible and thus should be approached the same way as other dried herbs. Because the size of the leaf, and strength of tea varies, when using it as a flavoring, you will need to taste the inufusion to check its strength. If you're mixing it into other ingredients you'll want the the infusion to be powerful to stand on it's own, but not so strong that it will become bitter. Knowing how to steep tea is crucial!
Infusion Tips:
- Use 1 teaspoon per 6oz water for regular strength tea. Large leaves and teas containing floers are less dense, therefore you may need 2 teaspoons per cup.
- Always check our recommended guidelines for proper water temperature, steeping time and proper tea quantities
