Bubble Tea (or Boba Tea) originated in Taiwan in the early 1980’s. Bubble tea is also known as boba drink, pearl tea drink, boba ice tea, boba, boba nai cha, zhen zhou nai cha, pearl milk tea, pearl ice tea, black pearl tea, tapioca ball drink, BBT, PT.

Bubble tea is a sweetly flavored tea beverage typically served cold. When fruit flavorings are added, the tea is shaken vigorously in cocktail shakers to mix well. This creates ‘Bubbles’ , thus “Bubble Tea” is created!

The base of the tea is made with a good quality tea of your choice, like black tea, green tea, herbal tea, etc.  Milk, ice, and sweetener can also be added. Bubble Tea can be mixed from a thin to a thicker ‘milk-shake’ like consistency, whatever your preference.
