More Information:

Genmai-cha, a Japanese specialty, stands for "brown rice tea". Bancha tea, popped corn, toasted and hulled rice kernels.  Genmai Cha is an exotic Japanese recipe that combines popped rice and corn with tender and delicate green tea leaves. Light green with delicate barley taste. Try some with white crystal sugar.

Origin:  Japan

Ingredients: Bancha Green Tea, Popped Rice and Popcorn

Steeping Guidelines:
Water: 176° - 196°F | Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 6 ounce cup | Infusion Time: 2 - 3 minutes; refresh cup as desired.

Infusion tips:
Use COLD filtered or spring water, whenever possible
Don’t over boil water, Don't over steep tea
Remove leaves after recommended time (adjust to taste)
*Vary time according to taste, & remember that steeping tea leaves beyond 3 minutes does not contribute to flavor, only bitterness. If you want a stronger taste, use more tea leaves instead of steeping for a longer time
